It is not common to see couples with wide age gap. However, we witness public figures to the private ones, even our friends, with couples either way too older or younger than they are. Some are over a decade apart, and some are even two or three decades apart in age, all of which pique our interest due to the unique nature of these relationships. Given the disparity of age, do these relationships work?
Most of the people will think that the marriage with big age gap doesn't work most especially if the gap is more than 11 years. This could be likewise true especially if the one older is the woman. When these couples marry it is inevitable that they will have to learn how to compromise or else the marriage might not work out. While the younger person might feel he or she has to grow up faster than normal, the older party might feel disinterested in the activities of the other.
Another one is the relationship between each other. Apparently because they differ in age, they differ also in many ideas.
How about the older person. Do they ever think their partner is immature and childish? If this is the case then the relationship is mimicking the parent-child relationship which is not the basis for a long lasting romantic relationship.
Nevertheless, if the parties are almost of same age, or the age gap is not so big, their level of maturity also don't differ too much. They could then agree in many things, interests, ideas, opinions and choices in life. So the bonding is very strong and course they will be living most of the time happy and contented with each other.
